My name is Dia Constar and I am here today to tell you all about my sister Delia.

When Delia was named heir I was thrilled for her.  I just knew she would be an amazing heir for our family.

Delia always dreamed of attending Britechester University.

She was so committed to getting accepted into a distinguished degree.   She spent hours studying.  On more than one occasion I saw her with her text books open at the gym.

She encouraged me to study harder.

She was a Llamacorn Scout.

She was a straight A student and once won the Excellent Bunny award at our school.

She always worked on her school projects alone never taking help from mom or dad.  I on the other hand loved having help as it meant less work for me to do.

She was probably the smartest person I knew.  When we did homework together I always knew I could ask her for help if I got stuck.

She was also a wonderful person.  She loved to play with our little brother Dante.

She helped around the house cleaning.

I can remember one time I saw her fixing a broken sink.  I asked why she didn’t just call a plumber and she said, “why would I do that when I can fix it myself.”   Even as a toddler she was incredibly independent.

As soon as she became a teenager she started looking into scholarship opportunities.  Dad said she didn’t need to worry about it since we had plenty of money.   He gets over $5,000 a day harvesting the garden.   But like I said she was very independent and wanted to do it on her own.

She learned that there were some skill based scholarships available, so she started trying to earn skills in as many areas as possible; including fitness, handiness, painting, music, and cooking.   Oh how I wish she would have stayed away from cooking.

One day she was making grilled cheese when a fire started in the kitchen.

The rest of us were outside and didn’t realize there was a fire until it was too late.

The fire spread quickly and soon Delia was engulfed in flames.

I tried to plead with the grim reaper.

“Please don’t take my sister.  She is the family heiress.  We all love and need her.”

“Aren’t you the spare?  You can take over as heir.  She isn’t coming back.”

As you can imagine we are all heartbroken by her death.

Delia Constar was my twin sister and best friend.  I can’t believe she is gone.

At that I broke down and cried.

Even though Delia was only heir for a short time she is buried in the heir cemetery.

I know dad takes comfort knowing that his mother, my grandmother, is there to watch over her.

I visit the cemetery regularly to talk to her.   She would have been an amazing heir.  How am I going to possibly fill the role that should have been hers.

Author’s note:  Delia’s death was not planned.  Everly and Dante were upstairs playing on the doll house, Castor was in the greenhouse, and Dia was on the computer.   Delia had been doing homework when I last saw her.   I was with Everly and Dante when the notice came up on the screen that there was a fire on the lot.  I went to the kitchen and found Delia and the stove on fire.  I kept trying to get her to extinguish the fire.  I kept trying to send the others to extinguish the fire.   Castor was watering the garden and I couldn’t get the task to cancel.   Everly ran out of the house with Dante and then stood panicking on the sidewalk.   I finally got Dia off the the computer and she started to extinguish the fire but by then it was too late.

I have been doing legacy families since the Sims 2 and never had an heir die before.  I honestly thought about restarting without saving but decided to stick to the rules.
